Nuts about Squirrels!!! A tale about a tiny maker of snowballs

It's almost time to make snowballs again this year, yippeee!!!  I'm a huge fan of snow, hot cocoa (or hot ovaltine, yum!), plushy blankets, and intriguing mystery books :)

My husband and I went for a walk on campus last year (we live very close to a college) in December.  As we were walking down one of the pathways, we saw a tiny little snowball whiz past our knees.  Very curious, we mused.  Thwack!  Another miniature snowball struck my jeans-clad shin!  Poof!  Piff!  Two more hit my husband's boot toe!  We looked 'round and spotted a little grey squirrel peeking out from behind a tree trunk.  As soon as he caught our eyes, his face disappeared as he hid completely.  We stealthily creeped towards him and peered around the tree, and Whack!  A teeny little snowball hit my husband's leg!  To our surprise, we saw the little squirrel, covered with snow, making a stockpile of tiny snowballs!  He was so completely bemused at seeing us there that he paused long enough for us to take a photo, and then he was off, scurrying up the tree.
