Update on What are these Eggs?!

Visited the eggs in the pond (see What are these Eggs for the original "What are these eggs" pictures!) this evening, the floating flattish round ones (pic 1 of my previous post) were gone... hatched? eaten? However, the blobby submerged ones were still there and there were more of them! They were in different stages of development, it seemed. Here's a closeup pic of the most well-developed looking set - it's kind of a shoddy pic but it was the best I could do without falling in!! :)

I have no idea!!:) I can almost imagine I see a not-fully-formed salamander in there but I can just as easily imagine an alien LOL!!

Hi P! Nope, not yet! Have been in conference all week but hope to go back this weekend to see if they've developed into something more recognizable :)

Hi Amy!

Those are Salamander eggs. Either Jefferson or Spotted Salamanders. Hard to tell until they hatch :-)

Thank you so much Alyssia!! I bet they have hatched, unfortunately - I haven't had a chance to go back to check on them... Thank you for the I.D. !! Hopefully next yr I can keep a closer eye on them :)

Haha. I just had to come back to see what they were.

Hi there! Not sure how you came across my blog, but I was so touched by your comment. Thank you for visiting!

Your work is really stunning, too. I love how you combine your photo and bio background.

Ever think of combining these with your resin pendants? They could make some SUPER cool pendants!

Best,
Bethany
