This cute little cicada was sitting on the steps to my apartment building - I think he had been waiting for me to get home to take his photo! So I brought him inside and let him sit on a book (The Three Musketeers - he looked like an adventurer!) for a few minutes - he was quite obliging. Then I let him go outside again!

i used a pile of close-up filters to get the 'macro' shot and blur out the surroudings! :) but he was reallllllly docile...
I remember when you were 4 looking very closely at insects on tree trunks and leaves. Now you're sharing your in(sect)sights with the rest of the world!
